We are still looking for councils interested in being beta-testers for the 2009 Big Explosions and Strong Gravity nationwide pilot. Some of these councils will be trained in person, and others will be trained using a Distance Learning Network. If you would like to be considered for this, please start by sending us a page or two describing the following:

  • The Girl Scout council involved
  • The science contingent involved (university department, observatory staff, etc)
  • Your available resources for this (facility, volunteers, etc)
  • The girls you will be reaching

    • For girls (and parents of girls) interested in participating in Big Explosions and Strong Gravity, the program is currently limited to girls in the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland Girl Scout council.
